Why Choose Tempered Glass
Tempered glass is 4-5x stronger than ordinary annealed glass and heat resistant, making it the safety glass required by building codes wherever human impact is possible. If broken, it shatters into small, blunt granules instead of sharp shards - protecting people from injury. The smooth, glossy surface is dustproof and easy to clean, and it comes in a variety of colors: clear, ultra clear, bronze, grey, blue, green and frosted.
How We Make Tempered Glass
  1. Purchasing float glass - The required float glass for your project is purchased directly from top Chinese mills.
  1. Cutting and processing - We cut to your specification, drill holes, polish edges and apply any cutouts before tempering.
  1. Tempering - The glass is heated to about 700°C and rapidly air-quenched to build balanced surface compression.
  1. Quality control - Every batch passes impact, fragmentation and dimension tests per EN 12150 before packing.
FAQ
What is the difference between tempered glass and ordinary glass? Tempered glass goes through a heating and rapid-cooling process that makes it 4-5x stronger and heat resistant. Most importantly, it breaks into small blunt pieces instead of sharp shards.
Can tempered glass be cut or drilled after tempering? No. All cutting, holes and notches must be done before tempering. That is why we ask for your exact drawings at the inquiry stage.
What thickness should I choose? 6-8mm suits furniture and interior use; 8-10mm is standard for frameless shower doors; 10-12mm for balustrades and large panels. We will help you pick the right thickness for safety.
